The North American based automaker Chevrolet has introduced the new Sonic model which comes with its turbocharged Ecotec 1.4 liter engine. The new Sonic subcompact also comes with a six-speed automatic mated to the turbo engine With output 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque while returning 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway with the automatic.
Fuel economy for the turbo Sonic, despite the automatic, is 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway, with a 0-to-60-mph time of about eight seconds, Chevy says.
Sonic turbos with the stick return 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway, with a time of 7.8 seconds in the 0-to-60-mph run.
The new Chevrolet Sonic turbocharged Ecotec 1.4 liter engine also available an extra $440 on the a Sonic LT sedan or hatchback and $630 on a Sonic LTZ sedan or hatchback.
