2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible Version


The 2013 Shelby GT500 Convertible debuts at the 2012 Chicago Motor Show. new Convertible version of The 2013 Shelby GT500 comes To mark the anniversary of the Special Vehicle Team (SVT).

The venue where back in 1992 which they unveiled the 1993 SVT Mustang Cobra and SVT F-150 Lightning. The new 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible is powered by by the same engine as the coupe, a 5.8-liter supercharged V8 engine rated at 650 hp and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm) of torque. This engine is an impressive step up from the 540 horsepower of the old 5.4-liter. SVT Global Performance Vehicles chief engineer Kerry Baldori said: “The Shelby GT500 convertible is every bit the performer that the coupe is, All of the significant changes we made in the program were instrumental in delivering a convertible that could really shine on the track but still be driven on a daily basis.”

The optional Performance Package includes Bilstein electronically adjustable dampers, the open-top Shelby GT500 laps the Sebring circuit nearly 3.5 seconds faster than the outgoing model.
