Audi has revealed the new A8 Hybrid and goes on sale in Europe in May. Its focused on providing good fuel consumption.
The new Audi A8 L Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI engine, its produces 245 PS (180kW / 241 hp) and 480 Nm (354.03 lb-ft) of torque and boasts a fuel economy figure of just 6.3 liters/km (37.34 US mpg), and combined with an electric motor that adds 53 horsepower.
The juice for the motor comes from a 1.3 kWh battery. The new Audi A8 L Hybrid will be able to run in fuel EV mode at up to 62 mph and for up to 2 miles. Using both the gasoline engine and the electric motor brings an electronically limited top speed of 145 mph and a sprint to 60 in 7.7 seconds.
The new all 2013 Audi A8 arriving in European showrooms and start at €77,700 for standard A8 hybrid while for the new A8 L Hybrid starts at €85,400.
